A hit-and-run incident on October 7, 2023, left a 42-year-old motorcyclist with serious injuries in the Roseville/Fleetridge neighborhood of San Diego. The crash occurred around 18:20 local time in the 1400 block of Rosecrans Street, close to Fenelon Street.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the motorcyclist was riding a KTM motorcycle southbound in the right lane when a vehicle in the left lane made an unexpected right turn onto Fenelon Street. This maneuver cut across the motorcycle’s path, resulting in a collision that caused the rider to sustain a significant knee injury. Medical personnel transported the man to a local hospital for treatment, where he may require surgery.
The vehicle involved in the incident did not stop and fled the scene. As of now, authorities have not released a description of the suspect vehicle and are urging anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward. The investigation is being led by the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division.
