UPDATE: The University of Nevada, Reno has just concluded its Winter Commencement ceremonies today, December 6, 2025, at the Lawlor Events Center, honoring a remarkable total of 1,997 graduates. This significant event celebrates graduates from both August and December, marking a key milestone in their academic journeys.
Among the degrees conferred, the university awarded 1,295 bachelor’s degrees, 670 advanced degrees (including master’s and doctoral degrees), and 32 certificates. This impressive number reflects the dedication and hard work of students who have persevered through challenging times.
As the graduates walked across the stage, emotions ran high. Notable graduates included Fallon Yesenia Aguilera-Quezada, Crystal Ballesteros-Tapia, Sierra Berumen, Angela Cornejo, and Fiona White Fernley Susana Arellano-Ascencio.
