UPDATE: A transformative event is set to unfold in Winterville, North Carolina, as the Revival of Hope kicks off next week, led by former world champion water skier Kristi Overton Johnson. The two-day event, organized by the nonprofit Victorious Living, will take place on November 3-4, 2023, featuring four free events designed to inspire and empower attendees.
The revival will be hosted under a tented venue located on East Fire Tower Road, featuring powerful speakers from across the country. The schedule includes two nightly services, a “Discover Your Story” workshop, and a women’s conference, all open to the public without tickets. This year’s theme, “Journey to Freedom,” aims to resonate with those seeking hope and purpose in their lives.
“We have an incredible speaker lineup this year,” said Overton-Johnson. “Their stories prove that painful, frustrating, and even life-altering experiences don’t have to hold you back. There is hope for a purpose-filled life, no matter what someone has encountered.”
Among the notable speakers is best-selling author Rabbi Jason Sobel, known for his role as a spiritual adviser on the popular TV series “The Chosen.” The revival will also feature performances from Miriam Webster Sobel, a former Hillsong worship leader, along with teams from Gateway Church and local artists, including Kellie Brown and Brandie Whitehurst.
The event promises a rich experience with community engagement opportunities, including food and beverages available for purchase from The Rock food truck on Friday and GrillVille on Saturday. Attendees at the women’s conference will also enjoy a complimentary breakfast and Awaken Coffee for the first 200 participants.
Victorious Living, an outreach of Kristi Overton Johnson Ministries, has been a beacon of hope since 2013, delivering biblically-based solutions to millions in prisons and jails nationwide. “I want to bring this same freedom to those residing in our community,” Overton-Johnson stated. “A person doesn’t have to be locked up physically to be incarcerated emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. God can set anyone free.”
In a significant outreach effort, all services will be live-streamed and translated into Spanish, reaching incarcerated individuals across nearly one million prison tablets nationwide. Additionally, members of the Victorious Living ministry team will visit the Pitt County Detention Center, bringing the message of the revival to approximately 400 locally incarcerated individuals.
With the revival just around the corner, the community is encouraged to participate in these uplifting events. Don’t miss this opportunity to embark on a personal journey toward freedom and wholeness.
Stay tuned for more updates as the Revival of Hope approaches, and be part of this impactful movement that promises to change lives in Pitt County and beyond.
