The match took place on October 25, 2025, in Randolph, New Jersey. With this win, Randolph, ranked No. 8 in the NJ.com Top 20, advanced to the final where they will face the top-seeded Ramapo.

In a standout display, Andrei Nitulescu scored both goals for Randolph, showcasing his skill and determination. The second-seeded team controlled the game against the third-seeded Tenafly, demonstrating their readiness for the upcoming challenge.

Randolph’s Path to the Final

Randolph’s victory sets the stage for an exciting rematch against Ramapo, a team they previously blanked 1-0 in last season’s section final. Ramapo secured their place in the final by defeating Wayne Valley 3-1 in their semifinal match. The final will take place on Friday, promising an intense showdown between two strong teams.

Historically, Ramapo has experienced success in the tournament, having last won the section final in 2016 against Northern Highlands, followed by a Group Tournament title against Toms River South. This background adds an extra layer of anticipation to the upcoming match, where both teams will be vying for championship glory.

As Randolph prepares to face Ramapo, the players and coaching staff are focused on continuing their successful run in the tournament. The team’s performance against Tenafly has boosted their confidence, and they are eager to replicate their previous success against Ramapo.

This semifinal match not only highlights the talent within New Jersey high school soccer but also emphasizes the competitive spirit that drives these young athletes. Randolph’s next challenge will be a crucial test of their skills and teamwork as they aim for victory in the final round of the North Jersey Section 1, Group 3 Tournament.
