Chelsea’s midfielder Enzo Fernández could be on the move this summer as both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly interested in securing his services. The latest reports indicate that Chelsea is open to allowing Fernández to leave the club, particularly if the right offer is presented.
Recent information from TeamTalk suggests that the club’s management no longer views Fernández as “untouchable.” This shift in perspective has prompted both Madrid and PSG to closely monitor the situation surrounding the 22-year-old Argentine international, who has gained prominence since joining Chelsea.
In addition to Fernández, Crystal Palace faces growing interest in forward Jean-Philippe Mateta. Reports indicate that Juventus is prepared to make a significant offer for Mateta, potentially reaching up to €30 million. The proposed deal includes an initial loan fee of €2 million, followed by a €28 million obligation that would activate under certain conditions this summer. Despite Juventus’s interest, Palace has reportedly rejected their initial approach for Mateta, who is contracted at Selhurst Park until 2027.
Other Transfer Developments
Chelsea is not the only club in the spotlight amid the ongoing transfer window. Nottingham Forest is nearing a deal for Lorenzo Lucca, a forward from Napoli. According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement would see Lucca join Forest on an initial €1 million loan, with a permanent option available for €35 million. The 25-year-old Italian international has struggled to make a significant impact this season, with only one goal in 16 Serie A appearances, but he has chosen to move to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur continues to navigate a challenging season. Following a 2-1 defeat to West Ham, speculation surrounds the future of manager Thomas Frank. Although he is expected to lead the team in their upcoming Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund, the Spurs hierarchy is reportedly exploring various options.
Other notable transfer rumors include advanced negotiations between Borussia Dortmund and FC Basel over a loan deal for winger Julien Duranville. Both Chelsea and Marseille are monitoring Anis Haji-Moussa from Feyenoord, while Leeds United is in talks to acquire Romano Schmid from Werder Bremen for a fee of €15 million.
Additionally, Arsenal full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko is set to undergo a medical at Ajax after the Dutch club reached a verbal agreement for a loan deal for the remainder of the season. Conversely, Barcelona is reportedly considering managerial candidates including Mikel Arteta from Arsenal and Luis Enrique from PSG, although they wish to retain current manager Hansi Flick for the time being.
The transfer window is set to remain active as clubs assess their needs and opportunities throughout the season, with fans eagerly anticipating the outcomes of these discussions.
