Barcelona Targets Vlahovic as Lewandowski Successor Amid Transfer Buzz

Barcelona is reportedly eyeing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski. The interest comes as the transfer window approaches its deadline, with the Blaugrana closely monitoring Vlahovic’s status, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport. The 25-year-old forward has been on their radar for over a year, and Juventus is eager to offload him before the window closes.

Vlahovic, whose contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in the summer of 2024, has attracted attention from several clubs, including Newcastle United and AC Milan. However, reports suggest he has declined an offer from Milan, keeping Barcelona in the mix for his signature. The Catalan club has been exploring options to find a long-term replacement for Lewandowski, who has been instrumental in their attack. Recently, they had also considered Benjamin Sesko, but he has since moved to Manchester United.

In another significant development, Manchester United is preparing an offer for Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand. The club views the 26-year-old as a viable alternative to Carlos Baleba of Brighton & Hove Albion. Reports indicate that United is ready to submit a £50 million bid if negotiations for Baleba fall through. Hjulmand’s current release clause stands at £68 million, and he has prior experience working with manager Ruben Amorim during his tenure in Portugal.

Transfer Market Activity Intensifies

As the transfer window nears its conclusion, clubs are actively seeking to bolster their squads. Bayern Munich is reportedly keen on acquiring VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade. According to Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sports, the 23-year-old player and his representatives may be willing to negotiate a reduction of around €10 million from a clause in his contract. It is believed that an offer between €70 million and €75 million would persuade Stuttgart to part ways with Woltemade.

In another notable transfer story, Tottenham Hotspur had a £60 million offer for Brazilian winger Savinho rejected by Manchester City. Savinho’s representatives have traveled to England to facilitate a potential move, as the player seeks more playing time ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Negotiations are ongoing, with both clubs hoping to reach an agreement for the 21-year-old.

Meanwhile, Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund has attracted attention from various clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, who are monitoring his situation as he engages in discussions with AC Milan. There remains a possibility for Højlund to stay in the Premier League, adding another layer of intrigue to his potential transfer.

Ongoing Rumors and Confirmed Deals

The transfer market is buzzing with activity, with several clubs making moves. Reports indicate that Crystal Palace is set to receive an official offer from Tottenham for attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze. Additionally, Chelsea and Manchester United are in talks regarding winger Alejandro Garnacho, while Inter Milan has heightened its interest in Manu Koné from Roma.

Other clubs are also making their presence felt in the market. Nottingham Forest has approached Juventus for midfielder Douglas Luiz, and Brentford has reportedly agreed on a club-record deal worth £42.5 million for Dango Ouattara from Bournemouth.

As the transfer deadline approaches, clubs are racing against time to finalize their squads for the season ahead. The coming days promise to bring further developments in the football world, with fans eagerly awaiting news of their clubs’ latest signings.
