A Life Rich in Community and Style
Prior to her retirement, Rose had a long career as a gas controller with Columbia Gas in Charleston. Her passion for pool led her to participate in numerous tournaments in Las Vegas, showcasing her competitive spirit. After an injury ended her career at Columbia Gas, she transitioned to bartending at Denver’s Depot in Charleston. There, she became known as “everyone’s mom,” forming lasting friendships with patrons and coworkers alike.
In 2013, Rose moved to Morgantown to live with her son Jeffrey. She was proud to be the first resident of Harmony at Morgantown, a new facility that opened eight years ago. During her time there, she continued to foster friendships and was affectionately dubbed the facility’s “night owl.” Residents and staff alike cherished her, and she frequently expressed her affection with her signature farewell, “Love you more!”
Rose was renowned for her impeccable sense of style, ensuring that every outfit she wore matched perfectly, from casual wear to elegant holiday attire. She often received compliments on her fashion choices, and many enjoyed capturing moments with her in photographs.
