Lynn Mary Ragozzino, aged 65, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, after a prolonged and brave struggle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Schenectady, she was born on August 27, 1960, to the late Michael and Carmela Ruggiero Ragozzino. Lynn attended Linton High School and went on to have a fulfilling career as a painter and caregiver, retiring in 2020.
Lynn was a dedicated parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church, where she was known for her warm spirit and commitment to her community. She is predeceased by her partner, Susan Secor, and is survived by her brother, Michael Ragozzino (Julie); her niece, Rachael Ragozzino; her nephew, Andrew Ragozzino (Alexa); and great nephews, Rhett and AJ Ragozzino. Her beloved pet, a faithful fur baby named Gianna, remained by her side throughout her illness.
In recognition of the support received during her battle with cancer, Lynn’s family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the staff at New York Oncology Hematology (NYOH), hospice personnel, and friends who provided love and assistance during this challenging time.
Memorial Arrangements and Donations
A private cremation has taken place, and memorial calling hours are scheduled for September 16, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, located at 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam. The memorial service will follow at 12:00, providing an opportunity for family and friends to celebrate Lynn’s life. She will be interred at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady.
