Kelly Thiebaud Confirms Return as Britt Westbourne on General Hospital

Actress Kelly Thiebaud has confirmed her return to the long-running soap opera General Hospital as the character Britt Westbourne. This announcement comes after months of speculation regarding her potential comeback, which has captivated fans eager to know if she would reprise her previous role or portray a new character. Thiebaud clarified her status in a recent interview with TV Insider.

In the interview, Thiebaud stated, “I feel so lucky to have a character that I really enjoy playing,” expressing her excitement about returning to the role she first took on in 2012. This marks her third stint as Britt, who was last seen in January 2023 following a dramatic on-screen death at the hands of serial killer Heather Webber, known as “The Hook.” Britt’s demise, which occurred in her mother Liesl Obrecht’s arms, left many viewers shocked, making her upcoming reappearance even more significant.

Fans Anticipate Britt’s Storyline

The character’s return was hinted at during the episode on July 21, 2023, when Jason Morgan spotted Britt at a European airport. This moment stirred excitement among fans, many of whom are hopeful for a potential reunion between Britt and Jason. Thiebaud commented on the fan response, noting, “I loved the response from fans; it was great. That was heartbreaking when that pairing got separated… It felt like I finally found someone that I could really grow with on the show.”

As Thiebaud prepares to dive into new storylines, she reflected on Britt’s evolution over the years. “The journey that she’s been on, and her arc on the show—from where she started to where she ended—was such a highlight to watch,” she shared. The actress also acknowledged her personal growth throughout her time on the show, describing the experience as “really wonderful.”

With Thiebaud back in the role of Britt, fans eagerly anticipate the developments that will unfold in upcoming episodes of General Hospital. Her return promises not only to reignite storylines but also to bring back cherished moments for long-time viewers of the series.
