Aubrey O’Day Opens Up About Diddy and Her Cosmetic Surgery Journey

Aubrey O’Day, known for her time with the girl group Danity Kane, has openly discussed her struggles with body image and the impact of her experiences in the music industry. In an exclusive preview of the upcoming episode of E!’s series Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind, set to air on July 30, 2024, O’Day revealed how her relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs has influenced her obsession with cosmetic surgery.

During her conversation with renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, O’Day shared that her desire for physical enhancements began while she was part of a girl group in the mid-2000s. “It started with being in a girl group. The demands I noticed of my looks. Diddy was…” she paused, visibly emotional, as she reflected on the pressures she faced early in her career. O’Day emphasized that the expectations placed on her as “the sexy one” contributed significantly to her ongoing body image issues.

O’Day also expressed her conflicting feelings about her current cosmetic choices. While she has considered pursuing a more natural appearance after meeting her castmates on the show, she admitted, “I’ve literally learned about so many amazing procedures that these people have had. It’s almost talking me into plastic surgery.” Despite her admiration for certain enhancements, she conveyed her regrets about specific procedures, particularly her lip enhancements. “Well, when you say the word ‘sideways,’ I immediately think of these f–king lips on the top of my face,” she said candidly.

This reflection comes as O’Day continues to process the broader implications of her experiences, especially in light of recent developments regarding Diddy. Following the jury’s decision in a high-profile case where Diddy was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, O’Day took to her Instagram Stories on July 2, 2024 to share her thoughts. “I’m still unpacking the magnitude of it all. The cultural weight of this decision is immeasurable,” she wrote, highlighting the profound impact of the case on many lives.

As O’Day navigates her journey on Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind, she is not alone in voicing concerns over Diddy. The fallout from his legal troubles has prompted reactions from various celebrities.

In December 2024, Will Smith publicly distanced himself from Diddy, stating, “I don’t have s–t to do with Puffy. So you all can stop all them memes.” Similarly, Wendy Williams, speaking to the Daily Mail, noted it was “about time” for legal action against Diddy, while Kesha adapted her lyrics at Coachella 2024 to reflect her disapproval, singing, “Wake up in the morning like F–k P. Diddy.”

The reactions extend to other artists as well. Eminem referenced the allegations against Diddy in his song “Fuel,” while Jay-Z addressed his connection with Diddy in the wake of a now-dropped rape lawsuit. “Mr. Carter has nothing to do with Mr. Combs’ case,” his lawyer stated. Additionally, LL Cool J expressed concern for Diddy’s children, emphasizing the need for the justice system to handle the situation.

O’Day’s journey and the ripple effects of Diddy’s legal challenges underscore the complexities of celebrity culture and the personal struggles that often accompany it. As she continues to explore her identity and choices, her story serves as a poignant reminder of the pressures faced by those in the spotlight.

Tune in to watch Aubrey O’Day navigate her past and present when Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind airs Wednesdays at 22:00 on E!.
