Former member of the popular South Korean girl group Wonder Girls, Ahn So Hee, has opened up about her extreme dieting practices during a recent YouTube video. The actress revealed her strict regimen aimed at maintaining her slim figure, a topic that has garnered significant attention from fans and followers alike.
In a candid discussion with fellow actor Jang Dong Yoon at a renowned tteokbokki restaurant near Hanyang University, Ahn shared the challenges she faces in managing her weight. During their conversation, Jang expressed his own struggles with dieting, stating that he enjoys eating large portions but compensates by fasting for long intervals.
“I need to eat when I eat. Eating small amounts all the time is harder for me. So, I eat properly when I do eat, and then maintain a long fasting period. During fasting, I don’t eat anything at all, just water and salt,” Jang explained.
Ahn So Hee responded by revealing her own similar approach. “I usually fast for 14 to 16 hours a day,” she said. While such an intense fasting routine may seem extreme, Jang appeared unfazed by Ahn’s revelation, noting that he also follows a similar fasting schedule.
The discussions surrounding their dietary habits have sparked concern among some fans, particularly regarding the health implications of such extreme measures. Ahn has often been admired for her youthful appearance, standing at 164 cm and weighing just 46 kg. Her comments about fasting have led to heightened scrutiny of her health and wellbeing.
Recently, Ahn So Hee also faced criticism for a controversial post on Instagram, which some interpreted as a political endorsement. This incident has added to the ongoing discussions about celebrity influence and responsibility in social media spaces.
As the conversation about body image and diet continues to evolve in the entertainment industry, Ahn So Hee’s openness about her dieting practices highlights both the pressures faced by idols and the broader societal expectations regarding body standards.
