Send Your Name to the Moon: NASA’s Artemis II Launching Soon!

UPDATE: NASA is inviting everyone on Earth to send their name to the Moon aboard the Artemis II mission, set to launch no later than April 2026. This unprecedented opportunity allows space enthusiasts to be part of a historic journey as the first crewed lunar mission in over fifty years prepares for takeoff.

The mission will carry four astronauts: Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen from Canada. Their ambitious ten-day expedition will take them approximately 4,600 miles beyond the Moon, testing NASA’s deep-space systems and paving the way for future missions targeting Mars.

Want to join this monumental flight? It’s quick and simple—just follow these steps:

1. **Visit the Registration Page:** Go to NASA’s Send Your Name with Artemis portal. It’s just a click away.

2. **Enter Your Details:** Provide your first and last name along with a unique 4- to 7-digit PIN. Remember, if you lose this PIN, there’s no recovery—so keep it safe!

3. **Get Your Boarding Pass:** After submitting, you’ll receive a personalized digital boarding pass, a keepsake that looks more impressive than any airport ticket.

Every name submitted will be stored on an SD card mounted inside the Orion spacecraft. As the crew embarks on their journey, they will spend the first two days testing systems near Earth before executing a crucial engine burn to escape orbit. Their flight path includes a four-day figure-eight trajectory around the Moon, gathering data on radiation, human performance, and communication technology essential for future missions.

After the lunar loop, Orion will make a high-speed reentry and splash down in the Pacific Ocean, where recovery teams from NASA and the Department of Defense will be ready to retrieve the crew and capsule.

Why Participate? While sending your name doesn’t place you among the mission crew, it offers a unique way to connect with a milestone flight that humanity has sought to achieve again for decades. It’s a fun and free opportunity to leave a small mark on space exploration history—much better than a typical souvenir.

This exciting initiative reflects NASA’s ongoing commitment to public engagement in space exploration. As the countdown to April 2026 continues, enthusiasts and curious individuals alike are encouraged to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime chance to make their names a part of history.

For more information and to register, visit NASA’s official website today. Don’t miss out on being part of this incredible mission!
