New Castle Police Seek Public Help in Credit Card Theft Case

New Castle County Police are requesting assistance from the public to identify a suspect involved in a recent credit card theft and subsequent fraudulent activity. The incident began in a residential area on December 13, 2025, when officers responded to a report of stolen credit cards from a vehicle parked in the 2200 block of Farrand Drive.

The victim informed police that multiple credit cards had been taken from their car. Shortly thereafter, alerts from their bank indicated that the stolen cards were being used at various local businesses.

Surveillance Footage Reveals Suspect

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from one of the businesses where the cards were used. The video reportedly shows an individual purchasing gift cards with the stolen credit cards. In an effort to advance the investigation, police have released an image of the suspect and are urging anyone who recognizes the person to come forward.

Authorities have provided several ways for the public to share information. Individuals can contact Officer Max Gibson via email at [email protected]. Additionally, tips can be submitted to the department’s non-emergency line at (302) 573-2800. People may also reach out through direct messages on the department’s Facebook page or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333 or online at the Delaware Crime Stoppers website.

Police have emphasized that the investigation remains active, and no arrests have been made at this time. All reported actions are still under scrutiny. It is important to note that any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
