UPDATE: A tragic traffic incident has left one person dead in Vallejo, California. Authorities are currently investigating a fatal collision involving a bicyclist that occurred at approximately 6:17 PM on Sunday, January 15, 2026, on the 1100 block of Monterey Street.
Upon arrival, Vallejo Police and medical personnel discovered an adult male bicyclist suffering from severe injuries consistent with a collision. Despite immediate medical assistance, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. This heartbreaking event marks the first fatal traffic incident of the year for the Vallejo Police Department.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division suggest that the cyclist appeared to lose control of his bicycle.
