Rapper Sky Balla Charged with Sexual Assault; Two More Victims Speak Out

URGENT UPDATE: Bay Area rapper Sky Nathan Branklyn, known as “Sky Balla,” has been charged with two counts of sexual assault following disturbing allegations from multiple women. The charges stem from incidents at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas, where the rapper is accused of causing substantial bodily harm.

Court records reveal that two additional women have come forward, detailing violent encounters with Sky Balla that escalated unexpectedly. The urgency of these allegations is amplified as a jury trial is scheduled for February 9, 2024, raising pressing questions about the rapper’s past and the seriousness of the charges.

In a chilling account, one victim reported meeting Sky Balla at the High Limit Lounge within the Aria. After sharing several shots of alcohol, she claimed she lost consciousness. When she attempted to resist his advances, he allegedly struck her in the face, causing her to black out multiple times. After regaining consciousness, she managed to crawl to the bathroom, where she stayed hidden for two hours before finally escaping.

The aftermath was equally harrowing; hotel housekeeping discovered a significant amount of blood in the hotel room, prompting security to investigate. Initial assessments misleadingly attributed the stains to spilled wine, despite housekeeping staff insisting they were blood. This alarming detail raises further concerns about the incident and the potential cover-up.

As the investigation unfolds, Sky Balla’s troubling history has surfaced, tracing back to at least 2008. One victim from that period described an encounter where she was offered a ride to her hotel but instead taken to an apartment complex where she was assaulted. Despite being intoxicated, she managed to call for help. Another survivor from the same year, only 17 years old at the time, reported that Sky Balla threw money on her bed before assaulting her. She bravely fled to call 911, highlighting the enduring trauma faced by survivors of such violence.

These recent developments not only deepen the scrutiny surrounding Sky Balla but also shine a light on the broader issue of violence against women in the entertainment industry. Officials stress the importance of supporting victims who come forward, emphasizing that their testimonies are crucial for justice.

As more information emerges, the public and media are urged to remain vigilant. The upcoming trial is expected to reveal more about Sky Balla’s alleged actions and the experiences of his victims. This case is not merely about one individual; it reflects a larger societal problem that demands urgent attention and dialogue.

Stay tuned for further updates as this story develops. The voices of survivors are being heard, and their courage is paving the way for justice.
