Julia Aracelis Cruz Vera has been extubated and is recovering at a local hospital, officials confirmed. The foundation reported that she and flight nurse Miriam de Jesús Rosas Mancilla are the sole survivors of the crash. The Mexican Navy confirmed the aircraft involved was a Beech King Air 350i, which experienced an “accident” during its approach to Galveston. Eight people were aboard, comprising four crew members and four civilians. Tragically, six individuals lost their lives, including Cruz Vera’s son, Federico Efraín Ramírez Cruz, who was being transported for treatment at Shriners Children’s in Galveston.
