MLB Offseason Heats Up: Execs Predict Free Agent Moves NOW

BREAKING: The MLB offseason is igniting with crucial developments as teams scramble to secure top free agents. Key executives are weighing in on where stars like Kyle Tucker could land, with a staggering potential deal exceeding $400 million.

The offseason kicked off with the Seattle Mariners re-signing Josh Naylor, followed by major trades involving the Los Angeles Angels and Baltimore Orioles. The Texas Rangers and New York Mets exchanged players, and the Boston Red Sox traded for Sonny Gray from the St. Louis Cardinals just yesterday.

As the frenzy continues, we polled 16 MLB executives about the upcoming winter moves. Will Tucker secure that $400 million contract? The results show a divide: 6 say yes, while 10 predict he won’t hit that mark. Interestingly, opinions vary on which team will sign him, with the New York Yankees leading the pack with 6 votes, followed closely by the Los Angeles Dodgers (4 votes) and the Toronto Blue Jays (3 votes).

Despite some executives doubting Tucker will reach the $400 million threshold, many agree he is close. One executive suggested, “If Tucker had stayed healthy, this wouldn’t even be a debate.” His impressive 143 OPS+ in 2025 mirrors his stellar performance in 2023, where he finished fifth in MVP voting.

The executives also weighed in on other top free agents. Framber Valdez is expected to attract significant interest, primarily from the Blue Jays (5 votes) and Mets (4 votes). Meanwhile, Dylan Cease is a favorite for the Mets (6 votes) and Ranger Suarez could land with the Red Sox or Phillies.

In a surprising twist, the fate of Japanese ace Tatsuya Imai is generating buzz, with the San Francisco Giants leading the predictions on where he will sign (5 votes), followed by the Yankees and Dodgers (3 votes each).

As for the Detroit Tigers, executives predict they will likely let Tarik Skubal‘s situation play out rather than rush into a trade or extension, with a majority opting for this cautious approach.

With the offseason heating up, fans are advised to keep a close eye on the action. The next few weeks promise to be pivotal as teams continue to make moves that could reshape the league ahead of the 2026 season.
