UPDATE: Glen Powell has revealed a jaw-dropping wardrobe malfunction that occurred while filming his latest movie, ‘The Running Man’. During an episode of Entertainment Tonight’s “Spilling the E-Tea,” Powell shared his embarrassment over an unexpected exposure while performing a stunt on set.
While rappelling down a building, Powell found himself in a precarious situation. He explained he was wearing a towel and a “marble sack” pouch underneath, which left him feeling more vulnerable than anticipated. “When you’re going down the building and you see a window, you don’t realize there’s people in there, like, lighting and doing electric,” Powell admitted, highlighting the awkwardness of the moment.
His co-star, Josh Brolin, seized the opportunity to tease Powell, jokingly mimicking his stance while recounting how crew members were watching him from inside the building. “They were watching [him] come down frontally,” Brolin quipped, adding a humorous twist to the situation.
This incident comes as anticipation builds for ‘The Running Man’, which is set to hit theaters on November 7, 2023. In the film, Powell portrays a desperate father who enters a deadly reality show to secure a fortune for his sick daughter. The plot thickens as he must survive for thirty days while being hunted by professional assassins.
Reflecting on the experience, Powell expressed mixed feelings about the scene, confessing that he found it amusing but regretted his decision to film it in the frigid winter of Bulgaria. “I agreed to that scene in the summertime, and we shot it in February,” he recalled, emphasizing the discomfort of being in a towel amidst cold temperatures.
Despite the embarrassing moment, Powell’s career has soared recently, especially following his breakout role in ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. He has also starred in ‘Hit Man’ and ‘Anyone But You’, the latter of which stirred romance rumors between him and co-star Sydney Sweeney. Sweeney has since addressed the speculation, clarifying that the media exaggerated their closeness.
As the film’s release approaches, fans are eager to see how Powell’s comedic misstep translates on screen. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the premiere of ‘The Running Man’!
