EuroBasket 2025 Kicks Off Aug. 27 with Star-Studded Lineup

UPDATE: EuroBasket 2025 is set to commence on August 27, with 24 teams battling for the title of European champions. This thrilling tournament marks its return after Spain claimed victory in 2022, defeating France. The excitement builds as fans anticipate the action-packed showdown featuring some of the biggest stars in basketball.

The tournament will unfold across four groups, each consisting of six teams, with the top four from each group advancing to the knockout rounds. Group play will take place in Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland, while the knockout phase will be held in Riga, Latvia.

Basketball enthusiasts can look forward to witnessing elite talent on the court, including NBA stars like Luka Doncic from Slovenia, Nikola Jokic from Serbia, Giannis Antetokounmpo from Greece, Kristaps Porzingis from Latvia, Lauri Markkanen from Finland, and Franz Wagner from Germany.

The tournament will run until September 14, just two weeks before NBA training camps begin, culminating with the championship game in Riga. Fans can catch all the action live on DAZN.

### Group Breakdown
In total, 24 teams will compete in EuroBasket 2025, divided into four groups of six:

– **Group A**: Portugal, Estonia, Latvia (host), Turkey, Serbia, Czech Republic
– **Group B**: Germany, Finland (host), Great Britain, Lithuania, Sweden, Montenegro
– **Group C**: Cyprus (host), Italy, Georgia, Spain, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina
– **Group D**: Iceland, France, Slovenia, Poland (host), Belgium, Israel

– Great Britain vs. Lithuania at 6:30 a.m.
– Czech Republic vs. Portugal at 7:45 a.m.
– Montenegro vs. Germany at 9:30 a.m.
– Latvia vs. Turkey at 11 a.m.
– Sweden vs. Finland at 1:30 p.m.
– Serbia vs. Estonia at 2:15 p.m.

### Knockout Phase
The knockout rounds will ignite on September 6, with the following schedule:
– Round of 16: September 6-7
– Quarterfinals: September 8, 10
– Semifinals: September 12
– Third-place game at 10 a.m. and Championship at 2 p.m. on September 14
