Trump took to social media to express disbelief that the officer was unharmed, stating, “The woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self-defense.”
Responses from Minnesota’s Democratic congressional delegation have been swift and critical. Senator Amy Klobuchar called for full transparency and an investigation, expressing concern that statements from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) do not align with the video evidence. “We need full transparency and an investigation of what happened,” she said in a statement.
The victim has been identified as Renee Nicole Good, 37. A photo of the SUV revealed several stuffed animals visible in the glove compartment, highlighting the human aspect of this tragic incident.
Congressional Response
