Mary C. Morrison, a dedicated registered nurse and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, at the age of 84. A resident of Pringle, Pennsylvania, Mary was known for her selfless dedication to caring for others throughout her life.
Born on March 14, 1941, in Edwardsville, Mary was the daughter of the late Bernhard and Mary Edwards Keller. Her early education culminated in a high school diploma from Edwardsville High School, after which she pursued a nursing degree at the Wyoming Valley School of Nursing. Mary’s career as a registered nurse not only showcased her professional skills but also highlighted her profound commitment to helping those in need.
A Family-Centered Life
Mary was the heart of her family, deriving immense joy from spending time with her loved ones. She was particularly passionate about attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, where her enthusiasm and support were evident. Mary also enjoyed reading and shared a love for Penn State football with her husband, Neil Morrison, with whom she celebrated over 60 years of marriage.
Her kindness and quiet strength left a lasting impression on those around her. Mary’s family expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support and prayers from their church community, particularly from Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dallas, where she was a faithful member. Her faith played a significant role in her life, enriching her relationships and guiding her actions.
Legacy and Farewell
Mary is survived by her husband, Neil, her children, Julie Maloney and her husband Timothy Sr. of Tunkhannock, and Steve Morrison and his wife Antoinette of Sweet Valley. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Timothy Jr. and Anthony Maloney, along with Nicholas, Michael, and Monica Morrison. Additionally, Mary is survived by her brother, Peter Keller, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Leila Molitoris.
The family extends special thanks to Oakridge Healthcare for the compassion and care they provided during Mary’s time there. A funeral service will take place on February 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Andrew Strish Funeral Home, located at 11 Wilson St., Larksville. Pastor Murray Thompson will officiate the service, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing until the start of the service. Following the funeral, interment will occur at Denison Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dallas. Mary’s legacy of compassion, devotion, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
