Diapers are a necessity for babies but are not covered by programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or Women, Infants, and Children benefits. With an adequate supply for a single child costing around $100 per month, many families struggle to afford this essential item. “Community members can make a positive impact for families this holiday season by donating to help us provide diapers and prevent diaper need,” Hugo added.
The CNY Diaper Bank stands as the largest diaper bank in New York State, distributing an average of 200,000 diapers to 4,000 local babies and toddlers each month. Since its inception in May 2016, the organization has provided over 11 million diapers to those in need.
