BREAKING: A Bradford man, Joshua K. Green, has been jailed following serious violations of Pennsylvania’s Megan’s Law. Authorities arrested Green on December 30, 2023, amid an ongoing investigation into a separate theft case involving approximately $15,000 stolen from PA Skill Games machines located at 94 Main St., Bradford PC Repair.
During the investigation into the theft, police discovered that Green, a 48-year-old Tier 3 Megan’s Law registrant, was allegedly living in unregistered locations, including a rear storage room of the Bradford PC Repair business. Additionally, he was reported to be working at the establishment without notifying authorities of his employment, a clear violation of his registration requirements.
Green’s criminal history is significant. He is mandated to register for life after a 2020 conviction for indecent assault against a person under the age of 13. Under state law, he is required to report any changes in residence, employment, or lodging in person within three business days. However, police interviews revealed that Green had been living at unregistered addresses and working “under the table” for an extended period.
As a result of these findings, police filed charges against Green for failing to comply with the registration requirements of Megan’s Law. He was taken into custody and subsequently arraigned, with bail set at $25,000. Unable to post bail, Green has been remanded to McKean County Jail.
This case highlights ongoing concerns regarding compliance with sex offender registration laws and the potential risks posed by individuals who fail to adhere to these regulations. Police continue to investigate the theft case and any further implications related to Green’s activities.
Authorities urge the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to registered offenders. More updates are expected as the investigation unfolds.
