Aaron Phypers Denies Denise Richards’ Abuse Claims Ahead of Court

UPDATE: Aaron Phypers, the estranged husband of actress Denise Richards, has publicly denied abuse allegations made against him just ahead of his court appearance on October 8, 2025. In a brief exchange with reporters, Phypers labeled the claims as “bulls**t,” asserting that they are entirely false as the couple navigates an ongoing legal battle.

Phypers, 53, spoke to Entertainment Tonight before entering the Los Angeles Superior Court for the second day of hearings concerning the allegations. He emphasized, “I’ll always love her. I want to make sure she gets the best, but right now I just got to look after myself and my family.”

These statements come after Richards, 54, testified in court on October 7, 2025, claiming that Phypers caused her “at least three concussions” during their marriage. Richards detailed multiple incidents between 2022 and 2025, including allegations that Phypers “slammed [her] up against the concrete wall” and “squeezed [her] head so hard” it felt like he was “crushing [her] skull.”

Richards also recounted a troubling incident where Phypers allegedly “smashed [her] on the top of [her] head” while demanding her phone. Adding to the gravity of the situation, her cousin, Kathleen McAllister, testified she witnessed Phypers hit Richards in January 2022, leading to a visible black eye.

In response, Phypers has adamantly rejected these claims in court documents, stating, “I have not abused her and will not abuse her.” His representative further commented to Page Six, asserting, “Aaron will be vindicated when the truth comes out. The Phypers family has been ruined by Denise’s lies.” Phypers has also accused Richards of employing “egregious bullying tactics” and using legal maneuvers to “suffocate the truth.”

Richards is currently seeking to make her temporary restraining order against Phypers permanent, which would require him to remain at least 100 yards away from her for the next five years. The couple, who married in 2018, separated in July 2025, and their legal disputes continue to intensify.

As this case unfolds, many are watching closely to see how the court will respond to the serious allegations and the couple’s tumultuous relationship. The implications of these testimonies could have lasting effects not only on their lives but also on public perceptions of domestic abuse and legal accountability.
