Hyundai is poised to showcase its latest advancements in automotive technology during its presentation at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, scheduled for January 5, 2026, at 4 PM ET. The event will be livestreamed on both the HyundaiUSA and global YouTube channels, allowing audiences worldwide to witness the unveiling of innovative technologies.
While this year’s CES may not feature a plethora of new electric vehicles due to recent policy changes, including the withdrawal of most EV incentives by the Trump administration, Hyundai plans to highlight impressive developments in in-cabin technology. Central to its presentation will be the **Holographic Windshield Display**, a groundbreaking system designed to enhance driver safety and comfort by projecting essential vehicle data directly onto the windshield.
Innovative Features and Collaborations
Hyundai’s Holographic Windshield Display, developed in collaboration with German optics specialist Zeiss, is described as the “world’s first system to utilize holographic film” to convert the entire front windshield into an expansive viewing surface. This vertically expandable display measures an impressive 18.1 inches and allows passengers to watch videos without obstructing the driver’s view. Although Hyundai plans to begin mass production of this technology in 2029, its demonstration at CES 2026 is expected to generate significant interest.
In addition to showcasing the Holographic Windshield Display, Hyundai will introduce its new Atlas robot. This next-generation robot, resembling a canine, is part of Hyundai’s broader vision for AI and robotics. Since acquiring Boston Dynamics in 2020, Hyundai has aimed to advance the commercialization of AI robotics. The company emphasized that this development marks a crucial step toward creating adaptable robotic co-workers for various industries.
Additional Technologies on Display
Hyundai’s presentation will not be limited to its Holographic Windshield Display and the Atlas robot. The company plans to reveal over 30 mobility convergence technologies, showcasing its commitment to innovation in automotive safety, electronics, and chassis systems. Among the technologies on display will be an augmented reality head-up display, low-power display solutions, and advanced electric vehicle drive systems.
As CES 2026 approaches, Hyundai’s focus on the integration of cutting-edge technology into the automotive experience highlights the company’s dedication to shaping the future of mobility. With its innovative offerings, Hyundai aims to inspire both industry professionals and consumers alike, setting a high standard for automotive technology at this year’s event.
