Kaiser explained that their partnership originated within the promotion wXw as part of a faction called Ringkampf, which featured a different dynamic compared to their later work in the WWE under the banner of Imperium. “We were all on the same level, but with different characters,” Kaiser noted. He described the roles they played, highlighting that Timothy Thatcher was the tough enforcer, while he himself took on the persona of an arrogant young talent, with Gunther serving as the dominant force.
The turning point for both wrestlers came when they recognized the need for change. Kaiser stated, “Gunther is insane, he unlocks something in people that only few can. You need to know your place. My job was to make his act better and not take anything away.” Yet, he also acknowledged that ambitions evolve. “At some point you want more… if you keep walking behind Gunther, I remain the tag team guy.”
This realization prompted the duo to reassess their roles within the WWE. Kaiser emphasized the courage required to pursue individual success, saying, “In America, you need to bank on yourself and on your skills.
