Bret Hart Shares Disappointment Over WWE SummerSlam Seating Incident

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has expressed his disappointment following an incident at WWE SummerSlam 2025 where he was told there were no available seats for him, despite being invited to attend. While speaking at the Vaughan Comic-Con, Hart recounted the experience, highlighting his feelings of being undervalued by the organization.

Hart explained that WWE officials had reached out to him ahead of the event, extending an invitation for him to appear in the crowd. However, upon his arrival at the venue, he was informed that there were no seats available for him. In contrast, fellow wrestling legend Kevin Nash had a reserved seat for the show.

During the interview, Hart reflected on his long-standing relationship with WWE, suggesting that he feels the organization has never fully appreciated his contributions to the wrestling world, even following the passing of fellow wrestler Hulk Hogan.

“I went to SummerSlam. They invited me down this year and told me that they wanted me to be in the crowd,” Hart stated. “Then they told me once I got there that they didn’t have any seats. I noticed Kevin Nash got a seat. I don’t feel like WWE, maybe I finally realized that they don’t think they ever really fully appreciated me, even after Hulk’s passing.”

Hart further elaborated on his legacy, noting that among wrestlers who headlined the first ten WrestleManias, he is one of only three still alive, alongside Sgt. Slaughter and Ted DiBiase. He emphasized his intention to remain active in the wrestling community for many years to come, stating, “I don’t plan on going anywhere for at least another 30 years.”

This incident underscores the ongoing complexities of relationships between wrestling legends and the organizations they once represented. Hart’s comments resonate with many fans who appreciate the historical significance of figures like him in the wrestling industry. As wrestling continues to evolve, the treatment of its legends remains a topic of discussion among fans and insiders alike.
