Aneesah Morrow, a standout forward from Louisiana State University (LSU), has been awarded the prestigious Corbett Award as the top female athlete in Louisiana. This recognition comes from the Allstate Sugar Bowl and highlights Morrow’s exceptional performance throughout the season.
Morrow, a transfer from DePaul University, made a significant impact during her time at LSU. She averaged an impressive 18.7 points per game, while also leading the nation in rebounding with an average of 13.5 rebounds per game. Her total of 485 rebounds for the season ranks as the fourth highest in LSU history.
In addition to her scoring and rebounding prowess, Morrow achieved a remarkable milestone by recording 30 double-doubles throughout the season, the highest in the nation. Her contributions were pivotal in leading the LSU Tigers to the Elite Eight in both of her seasons at the university, culminating in a total of 31 wins each year.

On April 14, 2025, she was selected as the seventh overall pick in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) draft by the Connecticut Sun.
