Ronald A. “Skip” Bogert, Jr., a respected member of the Kempton community, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 61. He was receiving treatment at Lehigh Valley Hospital when he died, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication.
Life and Career
Born on February 10, 1964, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Skip was the son of Ronald A. Bogert, Sr. and the late Linda (Foster) Bogert. After completing his education, he honorably served in the United States Army, reflecting his commitment to his country.
Throughout his career, Skip was known as an industrious entrepreneur and an industrial electrician. He worked with various companies, showcasing his expertise and dedication to his craft. His professional journey exemplified his strong work ethic and passion for his trade.
Personal Life and Interests
Skip is survived by his wife, Brenda S. (Mengel) Bogert, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage. Together, they raised three sons: Kyle Bogert and his wife Jessica, Tyler Bogert, and Cody Bogert. The family also includes three grandchildren: Jordyn, Blake, and Eladie, who brought much joy to Skip’s life.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Skip had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and was an enthusiastic fisherman. He cherished moments spent in nature and often shared his passion with family and friends. Additionally, he was a devoted sports fan, particularly enjoying watching the Las Vegas Raiders play football.
Skip’s family includes siblings Lori Tighe, Cheryl (married to Chris Wendt), and Joel Bogert, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Arrangements for Skip’s memorial services will be private, allowing the family to grieve in their own time. The Schantz Funeral Home, P.C. in Emmaus is overseeing these arrangements. A celebration of life will be organized at a later date, with details to be announced, ensuring that all family and friends can come together to honor his memory.
