Elaine Valcourt, aged 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, on November 12, 2025. She was the cherished wife of the late Raymond J. Valcourt, who died on May 6, 2024. Elaine’s departure leaves a profound void in the lives of her family and friends.
Born on April 19, 1948, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Elaine was the daughter of the late Raymond and Yolande (Germain) Dame. She graduated from St. Louis de France Academy in Lowell in 1965. Over the years, Elaine established herself as a talented hairdresser, working at several local salons and forming lasting connections with her clients.
Elaine was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford, where she regularly participated in community activities. Her faith played a significant role in her life, guiding her interactions and deepening her connections with those around her.
Family and Legacy
Elaine’s greatest joy came from her family. She found immense happiness in attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, preparing delicious meals, and hosting gatherings with loved ones. The warmth of her home was often filled with laughter and card games, creating lasting memories with family and friends.
She is survived by her three sons: Derek Valcourt and his husband Adam May of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Lance Valcourt and his wife Jennifer of Nashua, New Hampshire; and Keith Valcourt of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. Additionally, Elaine is survived by her sister Diane Lavarnway and her husband William of Dunstable, Massachusetts, as well as her brother Raymond Dame and his wife Kathy of Naples, Florida.
Elaine leaves behind four cherished grandchildren—Aidan, Gavin, Landon, and Jett Valcourt—along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral Arrangements
Visitation hours for Elaine Valcourt are scheduled for Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00 at Dolan Funeral Home, located at 106 Middlesex Street, North Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The funeral service will take place on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 10:00 at Dolan Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 at St. John the Evangelist Church, located at 115 Middlesex Street, North Chelmsford. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 90 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
