Antonino “Tony” Morici, Sr., a beloved figure in the Palmer Township community, passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 78. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love and culinary excellence.
Born on August 23, 1947, in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, Tony was the son of the late Francesco and Annunziata (Cerniglia) Morici. He dedicated his life to his family and his work as the proprietor of Morici’s Restaurant on College Hill in Easton, Pennsylvania, where he became known for his delicious Italian dishes and warm hospitality.
Devoted Family Man and Community Member
A devout Catholic, Tony was an active member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church and the Holy Cross Society. His faith was an essential part of his life, guiding his values and interactions within the community. Family was at the heart of everything he did, and he cherished moments with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Maria (Galati) Morici; three sons, Frank Morici and his wife, Meghan, of Nazareth, Pennsylvania; Santo Morici and his wife, Ashley, of Gainesville, Georgia; and Anthony “Nino” Morici, Jr. and his wife, Bobbie, of Palmer Township. He also leaves behind his sister, Giovanna Galati, and nine cherished grandchildren.
Known for his culinary skills, Tony took great pleasure in creating homemade wine and sharing meals with family and friends. His passion for cooking not only filled their stomachs but also their hearts, making each gathering a memorable event.
Farewell Services and Memorial Contributions
Calling hours for Tony will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., located at 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA. An additional hour for condolences will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, located at 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. Following the Mass, interment will occur at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, 520 Cedarville Road, Easton, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Tony’s name to the Saint Padre Pio Shrine, located at 111 Barto Road, Barto, PA 19504. Online condolences can be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com.
