Community Mourns Loss of Nicholas A. Krallis After ALS Battle

Nicholas A. Krallis, a beloved member of the Reading community, passed away on September 7, 2025, at Reading Hospital after a courageous three-year fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He was 64 years old. Born in Reading, he was the son of Maria Vougamalis and the late Anthony G. Krallis.

A graduate of Reading High School in 1979, Nick continued his education at Millersville University, earning a degree in Economics in 1983. He dedicated 40 years of his career to White Star Tours, where he was known for his exceptional customer service and strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

Nick was an avid sports fan who passionately supported the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles, and all local sports teams. His love for sports was surpassed only by his devotion to his church, faith, and family. A music lover and enthusiastic traveler, Nick’s charm and magnetic personality drew people to him, creating lasting friendships that he cherished.

Throughout his illness, Nick received immense support from his friends and travel community, reflecting the deep connections he forged over the years. Always considering the needs of others, Nick made the selfless decision to become an organ donor, impacting the lives of at least three individuals in need.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, George A. Krallis, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Services Scheduled

Services to honor Nick will take place on September 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, located at 1001 East Wyomissing Boulevard, Reading, PA 19611, where he was an active member. Burial will follow at Charles Evans Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Church at the above address or to ALS United Mid Atlantic, located at 1015 Virginia Drive, Suite 110, Fort Washington, PA 19034.

The Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., in West Reading, is honored to assist Nick’s family during this difficult time. Condolences can be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
