Born on June 4, 1962, in Hartford, Connecticut, Steven was the son of the late Alfred “Apples” and Marcia Blumenthal (Budkofsky). He spent the last three decades of his life in New Britain, where he became a beloved member of the community. A graduate of Pulaski High School, he carried the spirit of his hometown into his adulthood.
Steven’s passions were evident in both his hobbies and his personal connections. He was an ardent fan of the New York Yankees and the Washington Redskins, often sharing his enthusiasm for sports with family and friends. Alongside this, he nurtured a lifelong love for motorcycles, reflecting his adventurous spirit.
Family and Legacy
At the heart of Steven’s life was his profound bond with his mother, Marcia. Their relationship remained a cornerstone of his existence, shaping his values and nurturing his connections with others. He is survived by his fiancée, Catherine Falleti, who provided him with companionship and support, as well as his brother, Eric Blumenthal, and sister-in-law, Olga.
Steven’s family extends to his sisters-in-law, Laurie and Kimberly Blumenthal, and his many nieces and nephews: Alfred (and wife Jessica), Joshua (and wife Alyssa), Ashley, Aaron, Leah, and Anthony Blumenthal. He also leaves behind a great-niece, Ellery, and great-nephews, Lawson and Harrison Blumenthal. He was predeceased by his brothers, Mark and Sol Blumenthal.
