Creator Holly Treats, whose real name is Victoria Toplansky, has taken a bold approach to modern dating by embarking on a project that involves dating 48,000 men and counting. Through her innovative “Crush Matrix” project, she meticulously documents each date to explore the notion of whether the ideal partner truly exists.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the 30-year-old Treats explained her rationale: “I have to get a reasonable sample to have accurate data. It is what it is. It’s not pretty all the time to do research.” This ambitious endeavor, which began months ago, involves tracking potential partners in a custom-built matrix that includes essential details like name, astrological sign, and personal pros and cons.
Holly is aiming to reach a total of 50,000 entries in her project by averaging over five dates per day. To qualify as an entry, she has established specific criteria, including phone conversations and intimate chats at social gatherings. “If I’m getting you on FaceTime, I’m somewhat sexually attracted to you. It’s not a Zoom meeting,” she remarked, illustrating her unique take on what constitutes a date.
As she continues her dating journey, Holly describes her experiences as a rollercoaster of emotions. “I have very high highs and very low lows,” she admitted, recalling a standout evening in Las Vegas. Though she humorously confessed to forgetting some details, she vividly remembered the ambiance of a Michelin-star dinner and shopping at the luxurious Crystals retail complex.
Among the plethora of dates, some have stood out for their unusual nature, such as a night where a partner fell asleep in the bathroom after drinking too much. “This guy got drunk and was progressively saying ruder and ruder things,” she recounted. “He excused himself to go to the bathroom after we paid the bill and he fell asleep in there.”
Holly also mentioned that she is dating a few high-profile individuals, choosing not to disclose their identities for privacy reasons. Out of the 48,000 entries thus far, she estimates that fewer than 400 men are “probably ready for marriage, regardless of whether or not it’s with me,” and about 50 men pique her specific interest.
“I would actively talk to the 48,000 [men] again if they sent me a text,” she stated confidently. Treats maintains communication with all those who made it onto her list, emphasizing that being included means they are still in the running for her affections.
With a substantial following of over 1.6 million on Instagram, Holly Treats is not just sharing her dating life but also gleaning valuable insights about love and relationships. “I hate to say it, but dating is a numbers game,” she reflected, noting the importance of moving on swiftly when it becomes apparent that a connection isn’t right.
Through her journey, Holly Treats invites others to reconsider how they view dating in the modern world, encouraging a blend of humor and realism in the quest for love. As she continues to document her findings, her project not only sheds light on her personal experiences but also presents an unconventional perspective on the pursuit of romance.
