Comedian Ken Flores Dies from Cocaine Toxicity in L.A. Home

The cause of death for comedian Ken Flores has been confirmed as cocaine toxicity, according to a report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office. Flores, known for his stand-up comedy and as a producer of the LatinXL Comedy Show, passed away on January 28, 2023, at his home in Los Angeles. The report also noted a history of congestive heart failure, with the manner of death classified as an accident.

First responders arrived at Flores’ residence after receiving an emergency call but were unable to revive him despite administering CPR. He was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources. Following his passing, Flores’ family shared a heartfelt statement on social media, expressing their grief and requesting privacy during this difficult time.

“It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores,” the family wrote on Instagram. “Please respect our privacy at this time as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss.”

Flores’ death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from comedy clubs and fellow comedians, highlighting his impact on the comedy scene. The Hollywood Improv paid tribute to Flores by sharing photos of him performing, stating, “We were honored to share your talent on our stages. You were greatness, and it was only a matter of time until the whole world saw it.” The club also emphasized his kindness, saying, “You were also kind and a tremendous friend to all lucky enough to know you. We love you Ken, thank you for all the laughs.”

The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles also honored Flores with a social media post that read, “Rest in peace, make God laugh.” The Hollywood Improv reiterated their feelings, sending love to both his family and the broader comedy community during this tragic time.
