Showrunner Jess Brownell revealed during a recent interview that the upcoming seasons will spotlight the middle Bridgerton sisters, Eloise and Francesca, though the order in which they will be featured remains undisclosed.
Each previous season of Bridgerton has focused on different members of the Bridgerton family. The inaugural season followed Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, and her romantic journey with the Duke, portrayed by Regé-Jean Page. Brownell acknowledged the anticipation surrounding the next phases of the story, stating, “The last three seasons have been focused on Bridgerton boys, so all I can say is Seasons 5 and 6 are definitely about the middle Bridgerton girls.” The showrunner also confirmed that there will be clues throughout the latter half of season four that will hint at the narratives of the upcoming seasons.
Similar to how hints were dropped regarding Benedict’s storyline at the end of season three, viewers should expect analogous clues for the fifth season as they watch season four unfold. A notable clue from the previous season involved a masquerade ball, where Benedict first meets Sophie, his love interest in the books.
