URGENT UPDATE: The Macomb County Office of Senior Services is actively seeking nonprofits and government organizations that require volunteers for their upcoming Volunteer Recruitment Fair on September 11, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free event, part of the nationwide Day of Service commemorating the heroes and victims of 9/11, promotes ongoing volunteerism and aims to inspire community engagement.
“This is a great opportunity for any organization that is seeking volunteers to promote volunteer opportunities that are available at their organization,” stated Sheila Cote, director of the Macomb County Office of Senior Services. The fair, which debuted last year, garnered significant public interest, and organizers are eager for an even greater turnout this time.
Organizations looking to participate can register online at macombgov.org/departments/senior-services/volunteer, call 586-783-0958, or email [email protected]. The event will take place at the Robert A. VerKuilen Building, located at 21885 Dunham Road in Clinton Township, Michigan.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to explore various volunteer roles and find positions that resonate with their interests. This fair not only connects organizations with potential volunteers but also fosters a sense of community and support in honoring the spirit of service.
