A domestic violence suspect barricaded himself inside a residence in Hawaiian Gardens, California, on July 25, 2023, prompting a significant tactical response from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The incident began at approximately 10:52 a.m. when deputies from the Lakewood Station were dispatched to the 12000 block of 226th Street.
Given the serious nature of the situation, the department’s Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) was called in to assist. SEB personnel took tactical command of the scene while the Crisis Negotiation Team worked to establish contact with the suspect. Their goal was to resolve the situation peacefully.
