A man suspected of breaking into a home in Bend, Oregon, died following a confrontation with the homeowner late Thursday night. The incident occurred at approximately 23:45 on March 12, 2026, on NW Braid Drive.
According to the Bend Police, the intruder engaged in a physical altercation with the homeowner shortly after entering the residence. Following the fight, the intruder fled the scene on foot. Authorities later discovered him deceased at the nearby Awbrey Glen Golf Course.
The homeowner sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and was treated by the Bend Fire & Rescue team.
