The department is prioritizing the hiring of a full-time light equipment operator, whose responsibilities include maintaining city parks and ball fields. This position requires operating various equipment, conducting safety inspections, and performing maintenance tasks such as trash removal and restroom cleaning. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with hand and power tools, effective communication skills, and the ability to pass a drug screening. The entry-level pay for this role is set at $14.78 per hour, with potential for overtime and call-ins.
In addition to the full-time position, seasonal roles are available for concession staff, maintenance personnel, and lifeguards. These seasonal workers will help ensure smooth operations during peak usage times, providing vital support to the community’s recreational activities.
