Ariana Biermann Transitions from Reality TV Star to NYC Influencer

Ariana Biermann has made a notable return to reality television with the premiere of her new show, Next Gen NYC, which debuted on June 3, 2025. The series marks a significant chapter in Ariana’s life as she navigates her post-graduation journey in New York City. Known for her early years on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, where her mother, Kim Zolciak, became a household name in 2008, Ariana’s evolution from a child star to a young adult influencer has been closely watched by fans.

Growing up in front of the cameras, Ariana and her sister, Brielle Biermann, were just elementary school children when their mother joined the reality show. Over the years, Ariana transitioned from being a background figure to a prominent personality in her own right. This shift was significantly amplified by the family’s spinoff series, Don’t Be Tardy, which aired from 2012 until its conclusion in 2020.

Ariana expressed her excitement about returning to reality TV in an interview with Us Weekly, where she highlighted her desire for viewers to see a new side of her life. “When our moms were on Housewives, we were kids. A lot of the time, people still think I’m 12 years old,” she said. “They’re like, ‘Why are you wearing a bikini?’ I’m like, ‘Girl, I’m 23. I’m actually grown up now.’”

The decision to participate in Next Gen NYC stemmed from her wish to reconnect with friends from her childhood while exploring adult life in a vibrant city. “I guess you could see who we are and how we are as adults,” Ariana noted, indicating a shift in narrative from her previous appearances on reality television.

Ariana’s Journey Through the Years

Ariana’s life has been punctuated by significant milestones that showcase her growth and adaptability. In 2011, she enjoyed typical childhood experiences, such as attending birthday parties, while her mother filmed episodes for The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fast forward to 2017, when she took a break from high school to travel to Venice, illustrating her journey as a young adult seeking new experiences.

In 2018, Ariana fully engaged with her family’s reality show, participating in confessional interviews that showcased her personality and perspectives. By 2019, she faced the uncertainty of college due to the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting her mother to discuss the possibility of her attending a different institution instead of Arizona State University. Kim Zolciak remarked on the situation during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, highlighting the broader impact of the pandemic on education.

Ariana celebrated her high school graduation in May 2020 via a virtual ceremony, where her mother proudly acknowledged her academic achievements on social media. “We are so proud of you, ARIANA BIERMANN!! You maintained straight A’s (a couple B’s) and filmed alllll 12 years during your schooling,” Kim wrote in an Instagram post.

By 2022, Ariana was publicly expressing her love for her boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy, and sharing her excitement about their relationship on social media. As her family faced personal challenges, including her parents’ marital struggles, Ariana focused on her friendships and personal interests.

In 2024, she relocated from Atlanta to New York City, where she began pursuing a career in fashion design. “My first NYFW as a resident,” she announced on Instagram, capturing the thrill of her new life and aspirations in the fashion capital.

As Ariana embarks on this new journey with Next Gen NYC, she aims to share her experiences navigating adulthood in the public eye. The show follows a group of friends who have grown up in the spotlight, providing a fresh perspective on their lives as they transition into independence.

Ariana Biermann’s story reflects the evolution of a young woman growing up on reality television, now stepping confidently into her own narrative. As she embraces this new chapter, fans are eager to witness her journey and the challenges that come with adulthood in a bustling city like New York.
