Country music artist Scotty McCreery is grieving the loss of both his grandmothers, who passed away within hours of each other on March 13, 2024. The 31-year-old singer shared the tragic news with his fans through a heartfelt post on Instagram, expressing his profound sorrow and shock.
In his emotional message, McCreery wrote, “My heart is absolutely broken. Yesterday, both my Grandma Janet and my Grandma Paquita passed away.” He reflected on the cherished memories he created with them, stating, “There really are too many to count.” He reminisced about fond times spent on the family farm in Elizabeth City and visiting the Outer Banks with Grandma Janet, as well as enjoying summers by the pool in Pinehurst and traveling to Puerto Rico with Grandma Paquita.
Both grandmothers played pivotal roles in McCreery’s life, instilling in him the values of love and family. He concluded his post by asking fans to keep his family in their thoughts and prayers, saying, “I will miss them dearly.”

Judy’s post continued with a poignant acknowledgment of the dual loss, stating, “This is hard to fathom.” She expressed gratitude for the support she and her family have received during this difficult time, saying, “Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.”
