Cushman & Wakefield Appointed Property Manager for One NKY Center

The Northern Kentucky Port Authority has appointed international real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield as the property manager for its two key developments in Covington: the OneNKY Center and SparkHaus. This decision follows a competitive bidding process and highlights the authority’s commitment to enhancing local economic growth.

Christian Hinkle, managing director of asset services at Cushman & Wakefield, expressed gratitude for the selection. “We are honored to have been chosen by the NKY Port Authority to provide property management services for these prime Northern Kentucky assets,” he stated in a press release. Hinkle emphasized the partnership’s focus on “operational excellence” and delivering “exceptional value” to support the port authority’s vision for long-term community impact.

Cushman & Wakefield has a global presence, working with commercial property owners across 60 countries. The company reported an impressive $9.4 billion in revenue for 2024, underscoring its significant role in the real estate market.

The OneNKY Center is designed to serve the life science and medical research sectors. Tenants are set to begin moving into the building this month, with a grand opening scheduled for September 12, 2024. In parallel, the SparkHaus will focus on fostering entrepreneurial ventures and providing co-working spaces, with an opening celebration also planned for September.

Port Authority Executive Director Christine Russell remarked on the transformative effect of these developments. “The new construction of the OneNKY Center will forever change the Covington skyline, and SparkHaus breathes new life into a historic building on Madison Avenue,” she noted.

The establishment of these projects is expected to enhance the local economy and attract further investment in the region, aligning with the Port Authority’s broader objectives for community development.
