Celebrating the Art of Opera
This season, Boulder Opera invites local residents to experience a captivating journey through themes of passion, comedy, and timeless music. The season kicked off with the popular “Opera in the Park” event at the Boulder Bandshell, where attendees enjoyed highlights from some of opera’s most beloved works. In November, families gathered to witness the charm and humor of Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love, which provided a delightful experience for patrons. Looking ahead, the company will present Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier in April, a poignant exploration of love, time, and transformation.
Boulder Opera’s commitment extends beyond the stage. The company has significantly impacted its community by offering free concerts, particularly benefiting underserved Latino and Hispanic populations. Additionally, thousands of students from Title I schools have been introduced to the world of opera through engaging educational programs.
