URGENT UPDATE: Santa Claus will make a grand entrance by train at the highly anticipated Christmas in the Village event in Birch Run, Michigan, this Friday, December 5. The festive celebration kicks off at 5 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m., with Santa’s arrival scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on the Lake State Railway.
This annual event, organized by the Rotary Club of Birch Run in partnership with the Birch Run Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, promises a fun-filled evening for families. Attendees are urged to secure their reservations in advance through the Chamber’s website to meet Santa.
Guests can expect a myriad of activities, including live music, games hosted by students from the Birch Run Rotary Interact Club, and photo opportunities with roaming costumed characters. A special Kringle Market will feature local vendors selling unique goods, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Families will also have the chance to drop letters to Santa in a North Pole mailbox. A photographer will be on hand to capture memories, using attendees’ own cameras for personalized photos. With live animals and local emergency responders showcasing their vehicles, the event is designed to create lasting memories.
Organizers recommend dressing warmly for the outdoor festivities, as the celebration unfolds at the corner of Main and Maple streets. Those interested in participating in the vendor market can still secure spaces, making it an excellent opportunity for local businesses.
