UPDATE: As Thanksgiving approaches, Jason Kelce is preparing for the chaos of the holiday, admitting he’ll be “totally useless” while managing his four daughters. On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, hosted with his brother Travis Kelce, he revealed the challenges of balancing family chaos with holiday traditions.
With Thanksgiving just days away, Jason Kelce shared that he will be wrangling his daughters—Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and baby Finnley, 7 months—while his wife Kylie and her mother dominate the kitchen. “We have Kylie’s family, we have four kids. So, I’m going to have to be wrestling these kids. I don’t know,” he said, hinting at the hectic day ahead.
Travis Kelce lightheartedly teased his brother, suggesting he should “get on all fours” to keep up with the kids, showcasing the impending holiday madness. Jason humorously stated, “I’m just a huge inconvenience on Thanksgiving because Kylie and her mom are making everything.” His responsibilities appear far from helpful, as he noted most of his contributions are merely for show.
While the women handle the main meal preparations, Jason plans to fry an extra turkey with his father, Ed Kelce, just for laughs and tradition. “For an hour of the day, I’m just completely useless and making an extra turkey that we don’t need,” he quipped.
Additionally, Jason discussed his recent 48-hour fast with fellow NFL player Marcus Spears, which he undertook to prepare for the Thanksgiving feast. He humorously counted down the hours, saying, “I’m about thirty-six hours in. Just the smell of food,” revealing his anticipation for the upcoming meal.
Jason Kelce expressed mixed feelings about the fast, acknowledging that while it can be beneficial if done correctly, it’s important not to go too long without food. “If you go too long without food, it’s going to be bad for you,” he noted, emphasizing the need for balance.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, fans and listeners are eagerly awaiting the next episode of New Heights, set to air tomorrow, where they can catch more of Jason’s humorous takes on family holiday traditions.
