In Week 14 of the 2025 season, De La Salle and Archbishop Riordan maintained their positions at the top, both finishing the regular season undefeated.
Top Teams Secure Playoff Spots
De La Salle, ranked No. 1, concluded the regular season with a perfect record of 12-0 after defeating Pittsburg 24-17 in the NCS Open final. Their victory solidifies their status as a powerhouse in the league, with an upcoming match in the CIF state playoffs yet to be announced.
Following closely, Archbishop Riordan, also at 12-0, secured their spot with a convincing 33-13 win over Serra in the CCS Open final. Like De La Salle, they too will advance to the CIF state playoffs, with details pending.
Pittsburg, holding the No. 3 spot with a 10-2 record, faces a crucial matchup against Cardinal Newman in the NCS Division I final. This game will take place on Friday at 19:00 at Diablo Valley College, as they aim to bounce back from their recent loss.
Key Matchups and Upcoming Games
In the No. 4 position, Serra, now 7-5, will look to recover from their defeat against Archbishop Riordan. They are set to face Los Gatos in the CCS Division I final on Friday, who improved to 9-3 after a dominant 45-21 victory over Palma.
Acalanes, now ranked No. 6 with an 11-1 record, unfortunately completed their season following a loss to Cardinal Newman, who triumphed with a score of 52-17 in the NCS Open/Division I semifinal.
McClymonds, maintaining their No. 7 ranking with 10-2, continues their path towards the CIF state playoffs after a strong 34-0 win against Oakland Tech in the Silver Bowl.
Among other notable matchups, Clayton Valley Charter (No. 11, 7-5) and Monte Vista (No. 12, 7-5) will clash in the NCS Division II final. Both teams are coming off semifinal victories, with Clayton Valley edging out Campolindo 21-17, and Monte Vista defeating California 35-21.
