The thrilling encounter took place on March 15, 2024, at Susquehanna Township, where the Spartans were poised for a comeback victory.
With just 59 seconds left on the clock, the game seemed to be in Wyomissing’s favor after Justice Hardy scored on a 9-yard touchdown run, giving his team a 35-31 lead. However, the momentum quickly shifted as Susquehanna Township launched an urgent drive down the field. With only two seconds remaining, Evans rolled to his left, reversed direction, and delivered a stunning 15-yard touchdown pass to Nengite in the back of the end zone, sealing the win for Susquehanna Township.
The victory advances Susquehanna Township, who remain undefeated at 12-0, to the district championship game against Twin Valley, also boasting a perfect record of 12-0. This highly anticipated matchup is scheduled for 19:00 at a venue to be confirmed. Twin Valley secured their place in the final with a commanding 45-14 victory over West York on the same night.
