URGENT UPDATE: A man tragically lost his life early this morning in a high-speed motorcycle crash on Kamehameha Highway in Wahiawa. At approximately 3 a.m., the motorcyclist was traveling north when he attempted to overtake a vehicle, veering into the southbound lane. In a devastating turn of events, he lost control while trying to return to his lane and crashed into a concrete curb just north of Kilani Avenue.
Authorities from the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) confirmed that the rider was ejected onto the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene. While the victim’s age has not been officially released, Honolulu Emergency Medical Services estimated he was in his 40s. It is critical to note that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
