Gloria Jean Walsh, aged 82, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025. She was a cherished figure in her community, known for her unwavering love and support for her family and friends. Gloria was the devoted wife of the late Merrill Walsh and leaves behind a legacy of care and compassion.
Gloria is remembered as a loving mother to her four sons: Jeffrey Walsh and his wife Catherine of Wilmington, Sean Walsh and his wife Anne of Raymond, NH, Michael Walsh and his partner Lisa Tavares of Lunenburg, and Kenneth Walsh along with his partner Susan Hamel of Lowell. She took great pride in her role as ‘Nanny’ to her grandchildren: Jared, Cole, Austin, and Jack Walsh, who will carry forward her loving spirit.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Nichols Funeral Home, located at 187 Middlesex Ave. (Route 62) in Wilmington. Visiting hours are scheduled for Monday, October 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m..
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Gloria’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org. This organization supports veterans, a cause that Gloria held dear.
Gloria’s passing marks a profound loss for her family and the community. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, who will remember her as a guiding light in their lives. Her love and dedication to her family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
